3 plus ? = 10

At morning meeting in the Marsh, K-1’ers considered the 53rd day of the school year. With 3 single sticks, Mrs. T asked how many more sticks we need to make another bundle of 10. One student explained that he knew that 3+2=5, and since 5+5=10, that means that 2+5 is 7, which answered this K-1 algebra riddle. Then Mrs. T. read a crowd favorite, “Can I Play Too?”
