The Keynote General Assembly speakers at the NAIS Conference were four veteran university presidents. They shared their views of how education is changing in higher education and how that relates to independent schools.
Kai from 4-5 and Jess from K-1 presented with me at the NAIS Conference this morning. Our workshop was entitled “Learning by Doing: Sustainable Habits 101.” We shared highlights related to three overlapping strands of play. curriculum, and stewardship.

Lower School students enjoy some lively read alouds in the library for K-1, in the classroom for 2-3, and to end the day during closing meeting in 4-5.
Lower School students didn’t waste any time today getting back to business at school today. EC students listened carefully at story time, K-1 students learn Spanish with Señor Dan, 2-3 students do some reading during Teacher’s Choice, and 4-5 students begin work on their Independent Projects.
The sun comes out on Friday afternoon as students and families depart school for February break.
